Welcome to The Actor's Journey!

Come and soak up the atmosphere that is quite unlike anywhere you've been before, that's a promise! 

See the cross over between merely acting as a hobby to seeing exactly the processes that professional Sanford Meisner technique actors use in their work.

An entirely practical technique that has changed the entire world of acting since it's first inception at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, now widely accepted as the method moving so many of the greatest actors into their peak ability.

So come enjoy the great mix of levels and creative force that will affect your very idea of acting.

What to do?

​Simply choose one or both classes to visit below (We have two classes, with Beginner to Intermediate being on the Monday evening from 7pm until 10pm (not open school holidays), and our Advanced Camera Acting being on Wednesday 7pm until 10pm. To experience one or both classes free, simply let us know which evening/s on the calander below you'll be attending.)

What to expect

Since the Sanford Meisner technique is an entirely practical, you'll be invited to get up and have a go, but don't worry, we won't make you! Acting is a want to thing after all. We get to do this remember ;)

General class requirements

Since the room is about the training, building focus and having a great go(think of a martial arts class), we do require all mobile phones to be kept in cars or in bags during class. This is also for respect of privacy reasons as some actors may be applying very personal elements to their time on stage.

Talking is bound to happen as some scenes get very exciting(and there are moments for this), however speaking during a 'Meisner' teacher's concentrated notes to a paying actor who has just performed, or during performance will invite the heavens to open up and lightening to strike your soul ;) You get the idea.
